Our vendors are near the end of their leases and not everyone is guaranteed to be back for next year, so we’re taking a look to see where the next DSC restaurant partner might come from. We’ll be evaluating possible replacements, as well as looking for partners who might fit with some other projects we have going in Detroit and Lansing.
Our ideal candidates have great food and a great story. We’re looking for chef-driven concepts, ideally local and diverse. Because each vendor brings their own personality, we’d love to partner with up-and-coming chefs, or chefs who are looking to bring their business to the Detroit area, looking to grow their food truck or catering business to a brick and mortar space.
We like to think of each vendor as providing their own take on a classic food style. Your restaurant should have a unique POV vs just offering a basic, expected menu. The more interesting the story of the food, the higher the quality, the more we have to talk about and drive guests to the space. Elevated street food, or classic cuisine uniquely tailored to be approachable.
Business sense is also important. Please have a buttoned up business plan, sales projections, start up costs, etc ready to go - or have a proven model you can alter and bring to the space.
