Anthony Lee is a 1st gen Chinese-VietAmerican ,Detroit-based muralist,illustrator & curator living in Madison Heights, Michigan.
Born & raised in Metro Detroit, his family were Vietnam war refugees, with origins from Hong Kong. He grew up drawing behind the counters of his family's Chinese herbal pharmacy & has spent the last 11 years painting over 270+ murals in Michigan and abroad for a variety of local businesses, nonprofits, restaurants, schools, & corporations. His passion for painting large scale & bringing people together brings him great joy.
He enjoys creatively transforming an environment into a more memorable space & experience.
In the community, Lee is known for painting the Vincent Chin Tribute for the 50th remembrance anniversary event, as well as the big Robocop Painting on E Grand Blvd.
Anthony Lee has been featured in The NewYork Times, Detroit Free Press, & is also a College for Creative Studies Alumni, RedBull House of Art Alumni, Murals in the Market Festival Alumni, and has been sponsored by many companies such as Fanduel, MotorCity Casino, DTE, Ford, Flagstar Bank & The Detroit Pistons.
His recent work has been commissioned by Cities of Detroit, Sterling Heights & Blue Cross Blue Sheild.
