The Scott Wrona Trio is the project of percussionist Scott Wrona. Having focused on jazz for the better part of the 21st Century, he is influenced by classic jazz musicians Art Blakey, Max Roach, and Elvin Jones, as well as modern jazz greats such as John Riley and Detroit’s own Gayelynn Mckinney. He has been a band leader since 2007 and has played with The Jazz Merchants and the Johnnie Burt Quartet. As a proud part of the metro Detroit jazz scene, Scott loves to share his passion for music with the community.
