AIM HIGH Band

Aim High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan is a private school for students with social disabilities – autism spectrum disorders, Asperger’s syndrome, anxiety disorders, and attention deficits. Over the last few years, the students have worked to put together a musical group called @the high flyers The High Flyers.

The High Flyers celebrate neurodiversity through music. Some of these students weren’t able to talk until age six or seven, others struggle with crippling anxiety and self-doubt, all struggled to relate to others. Three years on, the group is a talented, vocally strong group with a large repertoire. They have come together through music and, when they perform, they have a lot of fun!

They have been playing a variety of shows at restaurants and coffee shops. Most recently, the band performed for a bill signing on special education with the Lieutenant Governor of Michigan as a special guest on keyboard and vocals. They do a variety of covers.

They have a large draw with students from the school and family members. It’s a great opportunity to support learning and growth and amazing music too.

Join us for an evening of stories of thriving with different learning styles and original music.
